Some packages include a leather bound album. All albums are a wrap around design with thick pages. Giving the client something they can hold is important to me. Canvas albums are available upon request with the option of either having the couples’ name and wedding date on the front or bare.
20 page, 10×10 = $490. 30 page, 12×12 = $850. Parent albums: 10 page, 8×8 = $350
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is your style of photography?
During a wedding I typically use two styles of photography. I’m primarily a photojournalist and this is the bulk of my coverage. This allows for a more genuine, less posed feel, as I’m capturing things in the moment as they unfold. Traditional portraiture is also a key part of my style, as formal portraits are routine in what I do and help tell the story of your family through the years.
How do the formals unfold?
The formal portrait part takes place in several stages. Family portraits are kept a bit more traditional, while the bridal party and Bride and Groom are often a bit more fun and contemporary. This portrait session is one of the most important parts of the day, so the more time allotted the more freedom we will have to try several different locations, all while keeping it fun and relaxed. The most important part is not to rush this stage, so you don’t feel any added stress, and it will translate into better images. The amount of time set aside for portraits varies according to family and wedding party size, venue and the structure of the day. Once I know the details of your event we’ll work together to set aside an appropriate amount of time to achieve the images you want.
Why have a second photographer?
Two of my packages include a second photographer and I highly recommend doing so. Having an additional photographer on site gives me and he/she the freedom to take more chances and get creative with different types of photographs with the confidence that the more traditional “must have” photos and angles will always be covered.
Where do you work? Do you travel?
I work primarily in my home state of West Virginia, but I travel the Central Appalachia region and am open to any location anywhere.
How soon should I book?
Right now! Wedding dates fill fast, especially during engagement season. The average time out from the wedding that people book is 12-18 months, especially for the popular months of June, September and October. So, the sooner you do it, the better chance of having the photographer you want available. If I’m not available, I’m happy to recommend a few other photographers.
What is needed to book you?
I require a 1/3 down payment on the package you desire plus a signed contract at the time of booking.
When is the remaining balance due?
It is due 2-weeks prior to the ceremony date. During this time I will send you an updated
invoice and a reminder email.
Where do we see our images and how soon until we get them?
I always post a handful of my favorite images 1-3 days following the wedding date. Given the high volume of images and work load, I typically tell my clients their images will be done 2-3 months following the date. I deliver all packages with a custom thumb-drive, print release and an online viewing gallery. All packages include high resolution edited images, which allow you to create prints
either at home, or elsewhere. While Chris Jackson Photography retains all copyrights to the images, a personal use license is included with your images allowing you to create as many prints as you’d like and post your images on Facebook and other social media.
How long do you keep my images?
I keep them for a minimum of 2-years following the wedding date. I highly advise that you store them on an external hard drive and maybe keep a copy at a friends or family members home. Data gets lost, it is part of the tech world. Storing data on the Cloud is also a good way to keep them forever.
Are the albums worth it?
Oh yes, and they are one way to ensure you never lose your images. Being a professional photographer allows exclusive access to labs that cater to those in the industry that most people cannot gain access to. That being said, the albums I create will trump any you try to produce. So make sure your package includes one. It will be worth it.
