Gorgeous Pendleton Point Ceremony and Reception at Iconic State Park
This Blackwater Falls Summer Wedding is all romance and all love. Gosh, this Tucker County wedding with these two love birds is just so dang sweet. After getting to know Julia and Zach from their subsequent engagement in the New River Gorge, I knew this wedding was gonna be full of intention and meaning. Everything is thought out here so nicely. From the crystal table settings and ceremony site to the “I do’s’.
The day started at the nearby cabins at the famous Blackwater Falls State Park. I have been shooting weddings here since 2009 and its one of my favorite venues in the state of West Virginia. There is just something so mystic about the Blackwater Canyon. The view taken in from Pendleton Point in any season leaves you thinking of it long after you’re gone. Its what brings anyone back that has visited the site in the small town of Davis (the highest elevation town in the state). Then the bridal party made its way in a light rain to the ceremony site. A massive white tent shielded the early guests form the rain. If you know anything about the are than you know it can rain in Canaan. We stayed in the areas the rest of the night.
Blackwater Falls Summer Wedding
After staging a first look and a few friend and bridal party photos the ceremony was ready to roll. I highly recommend doing as many photo sets as you can prior to the ceremony. And at Pendleton Point if you can! These two just love each other so much and its amazing to document it. The reception was amazing with some of their favorite Indian food surrounded by family and friends. I hope you enjoy the photos I selected below.
