Wintry wedding in the Land of Canaan. WV Wedding Photographer.
2019 started off with a bang with Brittany and Ryan’s wedding at Canaan Valley Resort in Davis. Being a West Virginia Wedding photographer, is always an immense joy. The resort got a pretty nice remodel recently and if you have been to the Land of Canaan than you know the scenery and vibe is absolutely top-notch. Brittany was really hoping for snow and although this winter was pretty mild, there was some dusting on the ground and strong, cold breeze that felt more like degrees in the 20s than the high 30s. They even made it out to ski and board at the ski resort at the resort!
The day started with mimosa’s and make-up. Hugs and smiles. Steamed dresses and whiskey. It was a proper way to start the new year proper. We made it out for the first look. Due to crazy high, cold winds we started close and made due with what we had. These two are so genuine and love man. They live it. We got back in as Erika with Ella & Company was putting the final touches on the ceremony decor. She does phenomenal work. Book her. The ceremony was short and sweet. Lots of tears. Lots. We made it back into the main lobby for family and wedding party photos. We didn’t get outside as much as we wanted and that was okay. Bravo Live provided always stellar introductions and music. The night carried on with dancing and selfies and we capped the night with a cool backlit shot you will see at the bottom. Looking forward to hearing from these two as they grow their lives and their farm. Best!
