Moody, Rainy New River Gorge Wedding
Wow, this Rainy Adventures on the Gorge Wedding is so incredibly moody. I never know what a August wedding will bring as it could be scorching hot with high humidity or cool with very little water hanging around. However, this end of August wedding in Fayetteville brought all the rain and then a little more. I shoot at AOTG often and as a creative I always welcome working with not always ideal weather scenarios.
Enter Hannah and Jacob. This couple rule! They were both so chill with the nonstop rain and I really love and seemingly attract couples that are just laid back. The day started with them getting ready at the lovely cabins at the resort. As the rain crushed down Jacob made is way to Hannah’s cabin for a first look. Rain be dammed becasue they did it in the rain. It was so incredibly romantic. After the first look we staged some family photos at the entrance to AOTG. I have never shot family formals there, but it worked out perfectly. Then it was time for some couples photos. I highly recommend getting to both overlooks at AOTG. If you don’t know there are two then you will be stoked to see them both.
Its About the View of Maybe the Party?
Its true that the best part about this rainy Adventures on the Gorge Wedding is the view. Though, it is also a dope party spot. After the short ceremony the party really began. This intimate wedding was perfect and rain didn’t change anyone’s feels for this sweet couples wedding day. I hope you enjoy the photos below. If you are looking to book me for a wedding at AOTG lets schedule a phone call as I love this venue and know the whole Gorge better than any photographer in the state.
