Gorgeous Outdoor Capon Crossing Farm Wedding in Early Autumn
The Capon Crossing Farm wedding in Wardensville, WV, may have been my favorite of the wedding season. It had it all. But more importantly what makes a wedding great is the couple and the guests. Brian and Austin are both absolutely some of the best people I have ever met in my life. They were both so inviting and easy to work with – I felt more a guest at their wedding than a vendor. Those weddings are special.
What made this Hardy County wedding really go smooth as can be was we held a engagement session at Dolly Sods a year before. It really helped break the ice day of and I cannot stress this enough. Its good to know your photographer if you can. However, I do know it isn’t always a possibility with so many more destination type weddings. But if you can you should!
What its really all about
What struck me the most about Brian and Austin is that the two really advocated for making as much of what was in their wedding from West Virginia or their friends in DC. From Charleston, WV, based Base Camp Printing for the invitations to Red Bear Brewing by their friends in DC. It truly was a well thought out and planned event and it was simply beautiful.
The food was perfect. The cake was decadent and the music by Bud’s Collect – who not only is a real cowboy but drove the tractor pulling one of the hay wagons – was splendid. Brian even did his own love song for Austin, which was really sweet and tender. Enjoy these photos and I am delighted that Brian and Austin booked me for their wedding. It was remarkable.
