A Relaxed New River Gorge Engagement

Living in Fayetteville means I shoot New River Gorge National Park engagement often. Every one is different and everyone is a lot of fun to work in the same space, but finding new angles and backdrops to make it fresh for both the subjects and myself. Allison and Caleb were no different. We used some of the large boulders down along the New River at Fayette Station which gave a real cool look. When Allison asked if they could bring their dog I of course said “totally.” Pets are always welcome.

I’m photographing Allison and Caleb’s wedding later this Summer at Adventures on the Gorge and as they both love the New and climb here often they wanted to do their photos in Fayetteville. Its always great when a couple come to the area they plan to get married at as it allows for photos in locations that we probably cant get to during their wedding day. Its the full ride in my opinion.

Its New River Gorgeous

Its really hard to beat a New River Gorge National Park engagement. I haven’t shot at half of the locations I want to here and probably never will. There are so many backdrops from wide vistas, to dense rhododendron tunnels and whitewater backdrops. And its hard to tell the weather you may find here. Like this Spring engagement a few years ago had so many different looks with snow and bright sun. I am looking forward to capturing their wedding in August and I hope you enjoy some of their engagement photos.
