Elegant Wedding in Downtown Morgantown

Hotel Morgan Wedding Photographer is a title I want to just have. Lauren and Chris’s wedding was so perfect. From the kilts to the dress, they aced this wedding get up – 10/10. The hotel got a big renovation recently and it really made it all pop. When Lauren and Chris told me they were getting married there I was pretty excited. I use to live in Morgantown while I attended West Virginia University and am always happy to get back up there to document weddings, couples and families.

Lauren and Chris met at West Virginia University and have since been living in Scotland so this was kind of a coming home for them, despite Chris being from Scotland, he went to college in Morgantown. Nonetheless, it was going to be a big bash. I am beyond grateful they trusted Chris Jackson Photography to document their day. It may have been one of my favorite weddings of the season. I was really hope with the strobe work my assistant, Marlyn and I did on the stairwell and outside under the entrance.

Simple. Gorgeous. Kilted.

Yup, as a Hotel Morgan wedding photographer, I would define this wedding that way: simple, gorgeous and kilted is how I would define the day. As I said above, Chris is Scottish and it was a proper Scottish wedding with kilts, Scotch and all the Scottish wedding songs you could imagine. And dances as well. However, there was a definite touch of West Virginia. Country Roads was a must and it ended the night just right.
