New River Gorge Engagement and Wedding Photographer

A casual engagement under the New River Gorge Bridge.

Matt booked me for their wedding this year a few months ago. He said he really, really liked my work. I am always pumped to work with people who aren’t just shopping for a photographer, but want to book you no matter what. Him and his fiance , Michelle, live in Charleston and we were hoping to get in a min-engagement shoot sometime this Spring. It was a toss up between the NRG and Charleston, but we settled for the Gorge.

I recommended heading down Fayette Station under the bridge to a few spots – this location is one I almost never use, but wanted to get some fresh looks from the popular area. The couple are super outdoorsy and getting into climbing so it kinda played into their shared qualities well. And Matt actually popped the question in this same area! It was a typical Appalachian Spring, with snow on the ground in the pockets of shade down the Gorge and bright hot sun with raging creeks. It was perfect. Below are some of my favorite images.
