Intimate backyard wedding ceremony in Summersville, WV. WV Wedding Photographer.
Its been a while. My wife and I just welcomed our second daughter, Ruby Lou, in May and havent’ had a lot of time to get some weddings and other work on my blog. So, time to play catch up.
I met Jason and Marilee not too long after moving onto our farm in Fayetteville. They just moved back – kinda – to the area and were looking to do some farming and build a life together. We haven’t hung out a lot, but I felt we meshed super well. Fast forward a fast year or so and Jason messaged me a few before Marilee and him were having a small, not planned, but worked anyway, backyard wedding on a weekday. He said they had a family member say they would take some photos, but bailed as they so often do. He asked if would be willing and of course I said what time do you need me?
This small wedding with just immediate family and a few friends was one of those so few and far between weddings that make you really love what you do. Below a towering willow tree they exchanged their vows and their dreams and moved along to Rose and earl grey cake – yes, Jason made it and yes Jason is a chef. I was so happy and honored to get to document this huge day in their already stellar lives. Here are some of my favorites.
