My what a lovely WV Botanic Gardens Wedding
This WV Botanic Gardens Wedding was simply amazing. I have long wanted to document a wedding there and when my long friend Brandon reached out to me to document him and his gorgeous fiance, Emily, wedding I was over the moon. Needless to say, having graduated from West Virginia University I always am open to wedding work in Morgantown.
The WV Botanic Gardens has been on my much shoot venues short list for some time now. Its so dense and green it makes it easy for Summer weddings. As this one was in June, it was prime. The Terrace at Tibbs Run is phenomenal. Its high window ceilings and open space is ideal for any wedding size. And the grounds is just sheer beauty.
The day started right out the gate with Emily ready to walk down the long walkways to the patio in a stand of breathtaking hardwoods. However, some rain always makes for a little mood and there was enough to make the greens truly pop. The ceremony was short and sweet followed by a quick “OMG we’re married” moment. Following this decompress time which I always try and shoot for with all my clients, we moved into family photos then couples photos.

The wedding is about you two. Its about the family and friends that make it out for you two. Thus weddings are not a performance. However, if you value photos of you two together then I highly recommend allotted 25-45 mins of just you two time for photos. You will not regret it. We ventured around the beautiful grounds at the WV Botanic Gardens Wedding but I feel I should just let the photos do that talking.
