Perfectly Relaxed Autumn Wedding in the New River Gorge

This relaxed Fall Confluence Resort Wedding in Hico, WV, is simply perfect. This Fayette County resort near the New River Gorge is absolutely stunning as much as it is perfect for a casual or formal outdoor wedding. The new timber framed reception hall is truly something worth seeing. This was my third of the three weddings I documented there in 2021 and each time I fell more in love with the new addition. Oh and the view is pretty nice too. Fayette County, WV, is abound with ideal wedding venues, but the Confluence is unique in its own way.

Confluence Resort Wedding’s Have it All

Danielle and Chance were both so relaxed and a pleasure to photograph at the Confluence Resort Wedding. Having photographed their engagement in the New River Gorge earlier that year, it was easy to jump right into the chaotic hours of getting ready. This is a major reason why I recommend doing engagement shoots with your photographer. The ceremony was held at their iconic overlook, which gazes out upon the confluence of the Meadow and Gauley River, hence its name. The overlook is both intimate and breathtaking. After the ceremony, we made our way around the vast property that has a little bit of everything one could want.

After the formalities we were back in to reception hall for introductions, eating, dancing and the likes. Danielle and Chance had a good amount of guests that were polite and a joy to spend the evening with.
