Relaxed spring New River Gorge engagement

This New River Gorge engagement was so lovely. Spring here – well all seasons are great – is superb. There is so much life popping back out in in the Gorge and its always a gorgeous backdrop for couples portraits. Rickelle and Thomas are practically neighbors and wanted to get a Spring session in before their Snowshoe wedding later this summer. We did a classic run of some of the most iconic spots in the Gorge.

I used a mix of studio lighting and natural lights to bring some pop to the budding greens and flowers. They wanted to get some kind of sunset shot and I think we caught one of the best sunsets I have seen in the Gorge in a long time. It can be real hit or miss in terms of sunsets here as our weather patterns are crazy. But it worked out well. Looking forward to their wedding later this year. Enjoy the photos.
