Moody Spring elopement in the New River Gorge

I’m just going to come out and say it that this New River Gorge elopement has been one of my favorite shoots in the past couple of years. I have fallen in love with capturing these intimate elopements where the focus is just on two people. But this one in particular was just magic. End of March is always a unpredictable time in the New River Gorge in terms of weather. It can be hot in the 80s or snowing. For Celeste and Brooks they caught some absolute ideal weather. Cool and overcast with enough moisture in the air to have some nice white fog rolling though the Gorge.

Hiking out to Endless Wall where Celeste and Brooks had their ceremony with the fantastic officiant The Vow Guy we could tell we were in for some moody weather. You don’t always catch fog rolling through the gorge but when you do it is gorgeous. We staged the ceremony where the gorge and the New River was half exposed by the fog. It was dreamy.
