Proposal at Shavers Lake at Snowshoe. Snowshoe wedding and engagement photographer.
Justin had contacted me months before I met up with him and his girlfriend, Sara, looking for a Snowshoe Wedding and Engagement Photographer at Snowshoe Mountain Resort in Snowshoe, W.Va. He was going to propose to his girlfriend that he met in college and wanted there to be snow, snow and snow. We kept checking the weather and with such a mild winter we had he almost called it off. Luckily about week to go winter finally showed itself and delivered a decent early snowfall to the mountain.
I hid behind a building at Shavers Lake for him to walk out on the pier and drop to the knee. I was camped out for some time there. We had met up the day before and went over when and where. Then we had a little fun with a engagement session. We worked in the lake’s boundaries, a ski lift, some snowballs and a few night time photos. This couple was great!
I know the mountain pretty well and am always open to exploring some of the off-beat places. Want to strap some snowshoes on? Let’s do it. Want to grab a couple beers or a fun session at the waffle cabin? Let’s do it. There is a pretty nice covered bridge just down the mountain that I’ve been dying to use for a backdrop. Maybe even Cass? I am available for weekend shoots too and working with a few days to get the images you want captured. I’m always booking winter engagement sessions at Snowshoe so make sure to ask about my exclusive winter engagement deals at Snowshoe.
