Super Snowy Snowshoe Mountain Resort Proposal
This Snowshoe Mountain Resort proposal was simply perfect. I have photographed dozens of proposals and engagements at Snowshoe, but this one was the first out on the snow while I had my skis on. It was truly an awesome shoot and one for the books. Patrick, who is from Charleston, S.C., had reached out hoping to propose to his girlfriend, Brooke, on this early December ski trip. Now, early December in the south is hard to gauge potential snowfall or snow-making weather. We both were really hoping for snow – and we got it!
The original plan was to post up a the Flume bar on Flume Trail but as it was early in the season it wasn’t yet open. So I decided to do it out on the snow. I ski patrol at Snowshoe part-time and I knew a good spot on Gandy Dancer Trail with a little cutoff. So we skied down there and waiting for them. My girlfriend grabbed a bottle of Rosé (we wanted prosecco or champs but they were out) so they could toast after the I do. I was a little nervous at first about them getting hit by snowboarders or skiers cutting around a small stand of trees, but it added well.
Its All About the I do
After this Snowshoe Mountain Resort proposal we wanted to get some photos of them riding while I was skiing with them. I love shooting while skiing. We went down Gandy Dancer and up Grabhammer lift (their favorite lift) and I was able to get both photos of them on the lift from behind and up front. After we parted ways and I wished them the best! Enjoy some of the photos below.
