Engagement in West Virginia’s ghost town Thurmond, WV. WV Wedding Photographer.
Elizabeth and Jason booked me for their wedding in 2019 at Glade Creek Farm and wanted to do their engagement shoot at the old town of Thurmond, WV, which has a population of less than 5, a mayor and a post office. This former booming Fayette County coal town sits along the New River and was where they shot a lot of the scenes for the film “Matewan” and was the former home of the sordid gambling parlor, the Dunglen Hotel, home of the world’s longest running poker game, that ran-on for 14-years.
Below are some of my favorites from their shoot.
