Wow. This fun Valley View Farm wedding in Lewisburg, WV, had so much life, so much color and so much love. Mary and Brian did this right. Every now and then as a photographer you get to document genuinely amazing people. People that can light up a room. People that can make you feel like you’ve known them for years. These two exemplified this. The day started started with the couple and the wedding party getting ready at the house across the road from the venue. With Mary and her ladies upstairs. Brian and his guys and ladies downstairs.

After Mary’s mom put the necklace around her neck, we moved on to some quick bridal party portraits. After that my assistant Shane and I prepared for a first look in front of the old brick farm house with the venue in sight. You can tell how monumental seeing each other was in the the photos below. Finally, it was time to head over to Valley View Farm. If you are thinking of getting married there or have or just curious, I would say there are very few venues that have as gorgeous and simple setup than the Lewisburg venue. It is ideal and the old barn lets enough light in during the day to make for some amazing images.

With the final touches getting on the wedding party at the barn and guests grabbing a drink and making their way to their seats, the show – yes – show was about to begin. Mary is an actress and has rich history in the theater, so her wedding was without doubt going to have an air of the stage to it, despite being in an open field. The photos below speak for themselves. Just check them out. After the ceremony we made time for some family portraits and a few more bridal and couple shots and into the reception. I was blown away by this wedding as ranks as one of the best weddings I had the privilege to document. These words do it no justice, but I think the photos do.
