An intimate wedding on the rim of the Blackwater River Canyon by WV Wedding Photographer Chris Jackson in Davis, WV.

It seems 2019 has been the year of the small, intimate weddings. At least for me it seems. Amanda and Aaron choice to get married at Blackwater Falls State Park in Davis, WV, this May. Amanda looked absolutely gorgeous with a classic dress and a massive, beautiful bouquet. Aaron was dapper to the max. These two kept it short and sweet and as we hoped for rain clouds to move under we started the ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the rim of the resort, with Pendleton Point across the Blackwater River Canyon. After the kiss and a short respite, we get some family photos in before the rains came. It can rain in Canaan! We opted to get back out for some couples portraits and made our way over to Pendelton Point, which has one of the best views in the state. It’s breath taking.

After the couples session, we had a little bit of time for dances and cake. I love shooting short weddings and I really enjoyed this one.
