This Glorious Christmas Time Engagement at America’s Resort
Gosh, this Christmas time Greenbrier Resort engagement is just so lovely! The couple, Katie & Tennyson, had on probably the greatest outfits I’ve ever seen! They were planning to get married at The Gaines Estate in Fayetteville in the Summer, but opted for a short engagement session at The Greenbrier Resort in Greenbrier County. If you have ever been to the resort than you know how insane the decor is. It is truly any photographers’ dream.
Gone With the Wind
The day started with the couple and I in the upper lobby. We moved around the grand halls and ballroom. If you have been to the Greenbrier Resort around Christmas than you know they go all out. However, if you haven’t, than you are in for a real treat! Adjacent to the upper lobby, the lobby bar features the iconic Dorothy Draper decor, extravagant details in every direction, and an original Gone with the Wind chandelier. The bar was named one of the best bars in America by Esquire Magazine in 2019.
The ballroom we snapped some photos in is juts ideal! A lot of the wedding receptions are held here. Afterwords, we made our way back to the lobby bar to get a round. A cosmos and an old fashion hit the spot and following a cheers we went to relax in the iconic parlor off the bar. Additionally, the large eagle mirror is always such a nice backdrop for a portrait. I try and photography all my clients in front of it. That carpet though, right?
