Snowy Snowshoe Proposal and Engagement.
This Snowshoe proposal and engagement by West Virginia wedding photographer Chris Jackson seemed right with temps in the high teens and winds strong enough to make it seem 0. Caleb reached out to me a couple weeks before he planned to propose to his girlfriend Ashlin at Snowshoe in WV. I have photographed several proposals on the Pocahontas County mountain and am always stoked to document new ones. It is always a rush! and usually some priceless emotions. This proposal was top-notch.
We planned to do the proposal in a clear area with plenty of parking and I sitting back with a 300mm lens looking like I was sipping coffee and messing with my skis. I don’t know how, but they always just seem to work our just right. Obviously she said yes! and we all met and jetted around the frozen mountain top for a short engagement session. I have a handful of go to locations that always seem to work out when I’m shooting there. We even stumbled upon some deer that gave way to a unique and mountain-esque vibe for some of the photos.
Below are some of my favorites from the day. Thank you!
