Romantic mid-Summer New River Gorge Gaines Estate wedding
As the Gaines Estate wedding photographer I was SO excited for this wedding. I love this venue in Fayetteville, WV, due to its massive pasture, stately house and reception hall. A goal of mine going into each wedding at venues I work a lot at is to work with different locations on site. As an artist I push myself to keep creating new looks at venues I’m a preferred vendor at. And I think I pulled this off at The Gaines Estate.
The couple, Lyndsey and Andrew, booked me in 2023 and setup an engagement here in the New River Gorge in the Spring. I prefer meeting couples for engagement sessions prior to their wedding if I can. This couple ware so chill and it shows in their engagement and wedding photos. However, this is not always necessary or possible. A gigantic thanks to my incredibly talented assistant on the day, Marlyn McClendon. She rocks! Being able to get the couple in front of my camera prior to their wedding day is massive. I highly recommend it.

Being the Gaines Estate wedding photographer I adore the ceremonies in the walnut grove. It is so incredibly gorgeous in the Summer and Fall. The whole venue just gives a kind of mood not found in other amazing wedding venues around the New River Gorge. It just offers different space – which is a good thing. The staff there is also very friendly and professional. In conclusion, if you are considering the Gaines Estate as a venue for your wedding you should.
