Early Summer Romantic Blackwater Falls wedding
Wow, this Blackwater Falls wedding was truly for the lovers. I cannot believe how much love Erin and John have for each other and it truly showed in these photos. Blackwater Falls State Park is located in Davis – a town very, very dear to me – and is always a gem anytime of the year. Despite having photographed dozens of weddings at this Tucker County icon, everyone seems so different. I also cannot say greater things than working with wedding planner Alyssa B. on this. Her attention to detail and client satisfaction is through the roof. Hire her and her team. Do it now!
The Brass Tacks
There are many locations to host a Blackwater Falls wedding, but Pinnacle Point seems to always be the one couples want. Wits vast view of the Blackwater River Canyon and open green space its ideal for outdoor ceremonies. The day started at the lovely nearby cabins at the park with the entire ceremony and reception just a mile or so away Erin and John wanted to do a first look at the nearby Douglas Falls – which is always a gorgeous site.
Everything about the ceremony and prep and decor were just fabulous, but one thing I was jumping at was when Erin and John asked if we could run quickly down to get photos of them at the beloved Stumptown Ales. I love the owners Cindy and John and knew it would go over SO well with the late day crowd. We rushed in announced and the newly weds were able to grab a couple pints at the bar before rushing back out for the reception and party. That. Was. Awesome!
Erin and John were glowing by the end of the night. Maybe it was the sweat or maybe it was the pure joy of having all their friends and family present. It was for sure both. I am beyond honored to have had the opportunity to document their wedding day and be a part of it all. Enjoy.
